Rating: 2/5 In 2007, we bought an engagement ring and 2 wedding bands from Blue Nile. The diamond in the eng. ring is very nice, but the "white gold" on all 3 rings has tarnished and looks dark and cheap. I have had nice white gold jewelery before that did not tarnish or become discolored. I did send an email to them about it, but no reply. I don't really want to wear my wedding band anymore because of the discoloration. |

Rating: 5/5 She LOVED it! White gold looks really expensive, but was way cheaper then the rings at robbin's bros. I was able to afford to get her a carat here, and would have only gotten .75 carats there. Nicer quality too. |

Rating: 4/5 Ordered ring, it shipped fast, she said yes. She's happy with the bling - I'm happy with how much less than it was than buying at Robbins Brothers. I went there first and got freaked out about the whole thing. I mean face it, spending this much cash on a diamond ring sorta sucks --- but I felt like a GENIUS for saving $1400 at Blue Nile. That's like a pair of plane tix to Europe. haha. |

Rating: 5/5 Great experience. Got my fiance's engagement ring overnighted to me, proposed in her favorite garden, and most importantly she said yes (and loved the setting and stone). I went with a platinum band with a just-under-a carat round diamond. I found that buying diamonds just under the common sizes (1 carat, 1.5 carats, etc.) saves a lot of money. The ring was about 40% less than at my local jeweler, and with all the the good Blue Nile reviews I'd read, I felt secure. It all worked out great. Thanks Blue Nile, and thanks ringreviews.com. She's a happy girl, and I'm a lucky man. |

Rating: 1/5 My engagement ring is a part of a set; the rings are supposed to fit flush together. When my fiance ordered my engagement ring, the wedding band was not available to order, so he went ahead and ordered only the engagement ring. I had to send it back to resize it to a 1/2 size smaller, and when I got it back, the back of the ring definitely looked like it had been sized. It was thinner than the rest of the ring. Later, when my fiance ordered my wedding band, I got it and put both rings on and they do not fit together like they are supposed to! If you take them off of your hand and hold them together where they are supposed to fit, you can clearly see that one ring is bigger than the other one in circumference. So, they are not even the SAME SIZE! I had to send BOTH my rings back to them, so that they could tell me what they can do to fix the problem, and they called back and said they can put a NOTCH behind my diamond, and that would make them fit together. EXCUSE ME, WHAT!? I told them that was not acceptable, and they needed to make my engagement ring the same size as my wedding band or take the diamond off and remount it to the correct size ring. They need to FIX THE PROBLEM! They kept saying something about, "Oh, it's because of the type of diamond on this setting, or the prongs, things like that... but those things have nothing to do with the fact that my rings are TWO DIFFERENT SIZES. The prongs do not get in the way at all. I am getting married in THREE weeks! I am so upset about this. I am probably not going to have my rings for my wedding, and if I do, they will be screwed up, and the pictures will not look good. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BLUE NILE! This is something that I plan to wear for the rest of my life, and my fiance paid a lot of money for, and Blue Nile can't even give us two matching rings. |

Rating: 4/5 Bluenile's great. Ordered an engagement ring, it came, and I didn't like the feel of the edges of the setting. I guess I should have read some reviews first... ianyway, I called up Blue Nile to return it and they took it back with minimal hassle (though it took a bit of time for them to inspect it and make sure I returned the genuine article before refunding my money). Overall, pretty good expetience considering I didn't keep the ring. May try them again the future but for now, I ponied up and went local. |

I bought my wife's engagement ring (a classic looking platinum setting with a round 1 carat diamond), her wedding ring (platinum with pave-set diamonds), my wedding band (simple platinum... A heavy bugger), and just the other day, a simple silver necklace for her birthday. Everytime I compared prices tothe stores near me (and I live in the city) and Blue Nile came out ahead. Throw in free shipping and the tax savings, and even though it's starting to feel extravagent at this point, I know I'll be back. |

Rating: 5/5 I love their selection. A friend of mine wanted an antique engagement ring, so she is the ONLY person I didn't recommend BlueNile to (actually did for her hubby's band, hehe). Everyone else I know who's gotten engaged recently, i've suggested Blue Nile. Even just by saving tax, you save a ton of change over shopping a local place. Plus I trust Blue Nile. It's a name I know with good prices. If I ever got good prices at the jeweler in the mall, I'd wonder what was wrong with the diamond! Hehe. Blue Nile is the way to go! |
